Secretary Job Description

 

The primary objectives of this part-time (20 hours per week) position are to support the operations of the church office, provide administrative support to the pastoral staff, and manage processes that enable the efficient and effective execution of building and facilities operations. Specifically, the part-time secretary will:

  • •       Answer the church phone, greet visitors, and respond to requests for building access. 
  • •       Prepare reports for the Elder Board and business meetings. 
  • •       Prepare attendance reports.
  • •       Help coordinate publicity, communication, and social media execution.
  • •       Open mail and deliver as needed.
  • •       Call and connect with new attendees who fill out a card
  • •       Maintain/order Welcome Packets
  • •       Accounts Payable/Purchase Vouchers/etc.
  • •       Reimbursements
  • •       Submit Payroll to the accounting firm
  • •       Background Checks when needed
  • •       Filing
  • •       Schedule appointments for the lead pastor
  • •       Utilize Budget
  • •       Make sure all forms are provided: such as Statement of Faith and Constitution
  • •       Back up documents on our Google Drive
  • •       Other duties as needed

  •        Previous office experience preferred
